Responsibilities*
  1. Design and develop strategic multimedia communications that visually and contextually communicate the organization's and unit's messages.
  2. Manage and perform website and social media editorial activities, including gathering and researching information that enhances the value of the site. Lead staff for Twitter and YouTube, support for Facebook, Instagram, digital signage and website content.
  3. Schedule, coordinate and provide photographic services including portraits, laboratory and specimen photography, special event photography, and creation of original video content to support the missions of the Department of Pathology.
  4. Create and present original concepts and designs for high-end print and multimedia projects and campaigns, annual reports, magazine, newsletter, brochures, websites and digital signage.
  5. Create polished videos for internal and external use, including YouTube, social media content, digital content, and internal tutorial videos.
  6. Assist faculty and residents with photo editing, figure creation, and other multimedia projects.
  7. Assess and determine department's communication needs and make appropriate recommendations based on overall communications strategies.
  8. Manage poster printing services for the Department.
  9. Arrange for repair and maintenance of equipment and ordering of imaging supplies.
  10. Provide back-up photography for autopsy services.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications*
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience
  2. Excellent interpersonal skills
  3. Comfortable interacting across multiple levels of management
  4. Well organized and detail oriented
  5. Ability to work both in groups and independently
  6. Proficient in Twitter with understanding of best practices and how to maintain professional and engaging presence to represent the department
  7. Proficient in YouTube with understanding of best practices and video optimization
  8. Strong understanding of composition, lighting in both photography and video, plus photo editing and file management
  9. Proficiency in Adobe Suite and, in particular, Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere, AfterEffects
  10. Ability to schedule and manage social media content calendar
  11. Ability to create and execute social media strategies and campaigns that fulfill the department's strategic goals
  12. Ability to write clear and concise messaging that reflects the department's culture

Background Screening
