Responsibilities*
Responsibilities include quality control and patient testing using automated and manual methods, blood component testing and preparation as well as blood component issue. The technologist will perform refrigerator rounds in 3 hospitals. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of good manufacturing practices and possess excellent customer service skills.

Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or biological science is required as well as certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist or the ability to be certified. Must have: the demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively with other medical personnel in both verbal and written form; demonstrated ability to independently organize and prioritize work, and to exercise initiative in recognizing and solving problems. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse team.

Desired Qualifications*
Previous experience in Blood Banking is desirable.

Work Schedule
This position is 40 hours on the midnight shift.
