Position Description
Contributes to the university's mission through teaching and service, some variation by academic unit.

Major/Essential Functions
This is a 9-month faculty full-time position (4 classes each semester).

Required Qualifications
Terminal academic degree (or its equivalent) as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held. Ability to teach effectively. Job assignment can be full-time or part-time depending on the needs of the department. This position is classified as Security Sensitive and requires a criminal background check if selected for employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Current Texas teacher certification.
4-5 years experience of successful teaching.
Bilingual certification at any level.
Ability to teach effectively.
Use of strong and positive communication skills within a professional setting, exhibit disposition for technology use, collaboration, and school-based initiatives.
Administrative experience at the campus, district, or IHE level, and a commitment to earning a terminal degree at Texas Tech (if not already earned).
