Position Summary:
The Helen McMurray Bennett Endowed Chair was established to promote research and education in the areas of Social Ethics.

To that aim, the Chair will be expected to carry out distinctive teaching and, through research and publications (or their equivalent), along with service to the profession, bring favorable recognition to Monmouth University.

Candidates for the Chair should have a record of accomplishment commensurate with appointment as a tenured Associate Professor or full Professor rank in one of the academic departments in the Wayne D. McMurray School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Monmouth University. The candidate's research should involve the scholarly study and application of social ethics.

Doctoral degree

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

Other Requirements:
Candidates who can be tenured at the Associate or full Professor rank in the Wayne D. McMurray School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
A demonstrated record of excellence in research (particularly in terms of written publications), teaching, and service.
