Positions: Health Sciences Clinical Professor of Psychiatry – Assistant, Associate or Full Professor Rank


The Division of Clinical Sciences at the University of California, Riverside is recruiting faculty members within the Department of Psychiatry in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full professor rank. We seek clinical educators to participate in part-time and/or full-time inpatient and outpatient clinical practice in Psychiatry within an academic setting. These positions offer excellent opportunities for teaching and pursuing a career in academic medicine with time dedicated to teaching and scholarly activity. Applicants with experience in providing inpatient, outpatient, emergency, child & adolescent, geriatric, addiction, forensic and consultation-liaison psychiatry and licensed clinical doctorate level psychiatrists with expertise in psychotherapy are encouraged to apply. Experience and interest in telepsychiatry are preferred. The successful candidates will practice at UCR Health clinical sites and/or affiliated hospitals in the Irvine, Riverside, and Palm Springs areas.

The successful candidates must possess an M.D., Ph.D, Psy.D, or equivalent degree and be eligible to practice in the State of California by the time of employment. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible (only within three years of completing residency) with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or hold licensure as a clinical psychologist in the state of California. The successful candidates will also be expected to show a strong commitment to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows as well as participate in scholarly activities, research, University and public service. Applicants must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and our affiliated hospitals. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
