Position Information
UC Riverside's Fleet Services is currently recruiting for the Fleet Analyst to promote customer-oriented services, respond to customer and vendor inquiries related to rentals, vehicle maintenance, and services. The Fleet Analyst oversees billing for Fleet Services, vehicle long and short term rentals, insurance costs, fuel charges, vehicle repairs and maintenance, and other applicable services. The Fleet Analyst collaborates with campus departments on vehicle accident and incident reports and driver safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable campus and UC policies, and governmental regulations. The Fleet Analyst performs audits and reconciliation of various Fleet Services' systems to ensure accuracy and compliance, and makes adjustments or corrections as necessary. The Fleet Analyst also provides operational and administrative support to Fleet Services, and responds to incidents or concerns in a timely manner with follow up to ensure satisfactory resolution.


Minimum Requirements
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite of programs.
Written communication skills to prepare a variety of correspondence, reports, policies and procedures, and training documents.
Ability to reconcile receipts, conduct audits, track inventory, order materials and issue billing or reimbursements.
Active listening, interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills to effectively resolve questions, concerns, issues or problems and ensure cooperative and productive working relationships.
Ability to create and maintain various manual and electronic records, logs, filing and record-keeping systems; ensuring accuracy at all times.
Skill and ability to provide and model exceptional customer service standards. Ability to monitor departmental performance standards, service guarantees, and service initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
Ability to independently gather required information through the use of query tools or databases to extract data from internal/external systems and the ability to organize, analyze, validate and prepare reports, provide statistics, and identify trends.
Skills to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to safely operate vehicles, including vans, sedans, SUVs, compact cars, light trucks, electric carts, and other campus vehicles.
Skills to work under pressure of deadlines in a stressful environment.
Working organizational skills to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines, to establish goals and work load priorities, and to meet project deadlines within budget and time constraints.


Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of UC/UCR system-wide and Fleet Services policies and procedures.

Knowledge of the changing regulations and legislation of the following organizations: Department of Transportation (DOT), Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Department of Labor (DOL), California Vehicle Code (CVC), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Knowledge of basic accounting methods and principles.

Working knowledge of practices and procedures of safety and emergency preparedness.

Working knowledge of practices and procedures relating to facility maintenance.

Working knowledge and/or experience with Phoenix or Voyager fueling systems.
