About the Opportunity:
Bouve College of Health Sciences has over 200 faculty members, with approximately 2,000 undergraduate and 2,400 graduate students. It is the leading national model for education and research in the health, psychosocial and biomedical sciences and supports the University's mission of educating students for a life of fulfillment and accomplishment and creating and translating knowledge to meet global and societal needs. Within Bouve, the Behrakis Health Sciences Center houses a state of the art human performance and exercise laboratory with teaching and research space, including fully equipped exercise stress testing stations, metabolic carts, Lunar DEXA machine, an underwater weighing tank, Cybex and Keiser strength and power equipment, wet lab facilities for blood processing and muscle biopsies. The Arnold S. Goldstein Simulation Laboratories Suite, opened in 2013, provides a state-of-the-art simulation center for interprofessional education.

Responsibilities:
The Finance & Budget Administration Manager has areas of responsibility in budget management and forecasting for multiple departments in Bouve College. She/he reports to the Chair of the Department of Physical Therapy movement and Rehabilitation Sciences and indirectly reports to other department/units that s/he work with. The position provides fiscal forecasting for determination and allocation of resources within the departments/units. S/he will develop controls for financial functions in adherence to established NU/College policies. S/he must be able to communicate efficiently, professionally and effectively to and on behalf of the Department Chairs/unit heads s/he represent, requiring leadership; critical problem-solving skills; and ability to make independent judgments regarding financial and budgetary activities. Provides oversight of transactions and related processes for multiple budgets; prepares reports and analysis of revenue and expense activity at the request of the department/unit heads. S/he will track and monitor department contracts; maintain records for transactions and generate department and spreadsheets including projections of all personnel and non-personnel expenses. The manager will indirectly supervise department office staff and assist them with daily financial transactional activities related to budget, equipment/supplies procurement and part-time faculty contracts. S/he will advise faculty and department staff on budget procedures, college policies and procedures, training on purchasing, Concur, E-print reports and Banner; advise on funds available. This position interacts routinely with the College Dean's Office and other key offices at the University.



Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required, Masters preferred. Five- seven years of financial and operations management of multiple budgets required to include supervisory experience, academic financial administration experience strongly preferred. Budgeting and quantitative analytical experience required. Outstanding organizational skills, demonstrated computer literacy [Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook], and proven ability to learn new approaches/programs. Must have ability to manage multiple tasks at once, support multiple indirect supervisors, work independently and handle confidential information. Experience with program evaluation or quality improvement/organizational improvement is required. Demonstrated experience with compliance issues and ability to quickly learn compliance issues and NU/College policies/regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including email correspondence. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team with administration, faculty, staff and students. Strong customer service skills required.
