About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Director of Student Enrollment has responsibility for the strategic development and oversight of a robust student acquisition plan for students enrolled in part-time undergraduate and graduate professional programs at the institution.

Responsibilities:
The individual in this position will be responsible for working collaboratively with the academic leadership of the various colleges, as well as leaders at the regional campuses and within Enrollment Management, to establish an overall prospective student contact and engagement strategy that aligns with and supports the vision and enrollment goals of the institution. The Director will have oversight over two primary teams: 1. A large-scale, student-staffed "Tier 1" omni-channel engagement team that is responsible for creating early engagement opportunities and pre-qualifying prospective students; and 2. A comprehensive "Tier 2 & 3" enrollment counseling team that is responsible for counseling prospective students through the application and enrollment process. The major responsibilities of the position include:
  • Serve as a key member of the University's enrollment efforts for graduate and professional programs, including those offered across the institution's global campus network.
  • Manage and provide leadership to direct reports overseeing early engagement, pre-qualification, and enrollment counseling functions.
  • Collaborate with the enrollment marketing and recruitment teams to craft a comprehensive enrollment and engagement strategy.
  • Work with the enrollment counseling team to build out comprehensive prospective student nurture strategies and provide guidance on the overall integration of marketing, recruitment, and lead nurturing efforts for programs supported by the team.
  • Prioritize the initial development and ongoing build-out of a large-scale, student-staffed, omni-channel engagement team (e.g. "Telehuskies" and "Student Ambassador" teams); oversee the initial hiring of professional and student staff members.
  • Work in close partnership with leadership in the Enrollment Management Contact Center inbound team to: maximize human capital resources across both teams; adapt best practices for customer service and quality control; innovate customer engagement technology platforms and systems; and, create a comprehensive training program and knowledge-base.
  • Work with key stakeholders in the colleges, campuses, and other service units on staffing levels and hours of operations based on the cycle of the enrollment process.
  • Analyze and evaluate data to ensure that efforts are being maximized and annual enrollment goals are being met.
  • Play a key role in the introduction and management of technology-based initiatives that are aimed at improving engagement and sales strategies.
  • Represent the unit on various university-wide committees.

    Qualifications:
    Master's Degree required. At least 8-10 years working in a professional position at an institution of higher education, preferably in an enrollment management or a contact center environment. Must have at least 5 years supervisory experience; preferably experience with leading teams from various units. Must be able to think critically and provide strategic guidance on enrollment-related matters. Must have the ability to work in a fast-pace environment with specific deadlines to accomplish tasks. Must have the ability to multi-task, be organized, and work independently. Must have a high level of customer service skills and attention to detail. Significant experience with Salesforce CRM as a tool to manage the marketing and enrollment cycle. Occasional travel to Northeastern's regional campus network required
