Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations in the Development department.

The candidate would be expected to: be responsible for planning and executing the University's fundraising program to secure philanthropic support from corporations and foundations. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Development, the Director will oversee the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of corporate and foundation donors, and initiates, strengthens and manages strategic relationships with these philanthropic partners.

This includes developing strategies that match University needs with corporate and foundation interests, establishing and maintaining donor relationships, preparing and submitting proposals that advance the University's academic plan and priorities. The Director designs and executes a corporate and foundation relations plan that is both strategic and reflects the best practices of the profession.

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Bachelor's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Basic Knowledge of MS Word 2013, Basic Knowledge of MS Excel 2013, Must be able to utilize a variety of computer software programs in order to successfully complete assigned tasks, Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment

Required Years of Experience: 3

Other Requirements:
Three years of experience in securing corporate and foundation grants, preferably in higher education.

Demonstrated knowledge of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies, particularly in the area of corporate and foundation fundraising. Demonstrated ability in grant and proposal writing and track record of success in generating significant commitments from corporations and foundations.

Excellent organization, interpersonal and networking skills with groups as well as individuals. Ability to initiate and build relationships with prospective corporate and foundation donors as well as with University representatives. Possess a high degree of professionalism and ability to interact with a variety of individuals to significantly increase the visibility of the University.
