Job Description

The Director of Targeted Engagement and Enrollment oversees and directs efforts of the high school dual-enrollment academies and engagement efforts, as well as targeted enrollment initiatives (Promise Program, career exploration, etc.). The position assists the Executive Director in the development and implementation of plans related to dual enrollment, engagement and targeted initiatives. It is responsible for the monitoring and reporting of outcomes, and the preparation of specific action plans that align with the College's strategic enrollment plans. This position is responsible for creating engagement strategies to connect students with CSN academic programs and careers, with financial aid information, and with CSN resources that facilitate enrollment growth.


In collaboration with Student Recruitment, it creates recruitment strategies for dual enrollment and supports the organization and logistics of dual enrollment and targeted programs for the college, including the CSN-CTE Centers of Excellence and CSN-University Transfer Academies. It works closely with Academic Affairs, academic dual-enrollment functions and academic departments to support access to different pathways for dually enrolled students. It supports the K-12 engagements for the College and collaborates closely with K-12 partners. The position facilitates initiatives that build collective capacity to provide high quality approaches to college readiness. This position oversees the implementation of targeted enrollment initiatives, including the Nevada Promise Program, career exploration activities, etc. The position directs, creates and implements all activities for the Nevada Promise Programs before applicants enroll at CSN, this includes mandated requirements, as well as other activities that fulfill the Promise Program goals and the enrollment objectives of the College.



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and/or university, 5 years of related professional experience and 3 years of related supervisory experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to develop, implement and direct complex enrollment or engagement plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of dual-enrollment programs and requirements; CCSD/K-12 regulations and procedures dual enrollment and the implementation of the Nevada Promise Program; FERPA rules governing privacy; NSHE and community college policies and procedures; Core curriculum of university; barriers faced by underrepresented college students; follow-up processes; and greater Las Vegas community.
  • Skills in conception, management, planning, organizing, and execution of events, workshops and programs; excellent verbal and written communication; interpersonal communication and human relations skills; proficiency in use of a personal computer and current software applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently; work in a team; establish and maintain relationships with faculty and campus staff; organize, lead and conduct meetings; solve problems; derive strategies and action items from complex verbal and written information; effectively handle conflict and dissent; conduct workshops; research, identify and implement best practices of mentoring, service, equity and inclusion; write reports; handle budgets; interpret and implement college policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of information; work with a diverse student and employee population including all identities, ethnicities, cultures and national origins; manage, prioritize, and complete multiple projects/tasks in an efficient and timely manner while maintaining focus on organizational goals.
  • Ability to coordinate complex program activities with internal and external stakeholders.
