Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic student centered leader to establish a stand-alone department of Fraternity and Sorority Life within the Division of Student Life at Monmouth University. Monmouth currently recognizes 15 fraternities and sororities whose members comprise approximately 18-20% of the student population.

The Director, reporting to the Vice President for Student Life and Leadership Engagement, will be expected to oversee the management and development of all fraternity and sorority programs including advising, organizing, monitoring and assessing programs, events and activities.

The Director will work to foster personal, chapter and council self-responsibility and accountability in a community where all are valued, respected and included. The Director is expected to build, foster and sustain healthy and cohesive relationships within the community including individual councils and the Greek Senate.

The Director is responsible for ensuring that the direction of the fraternity and sorority community is consistent with the mission of the University while contributing to the overall quality of campus life and the student experience.

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Master's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment

Required Years of Experience: 5

Other Requirements:
Masters degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling or other related field. Five years of experience in working with fraternities and sororities.

Active membership in professional organizations related to fraternity and sorority life.

Ability to work non-routine hours, including some weekend hours and occasionally travel.

Preferred Qualifications:
Membership in national fraternity or sorority.
