About the Position:
University Risk Management provides guidance to University programs to minimize the adverse effects of unpredictable events by identifying, evaluating and controlling loss exposures faced by the University and its employees. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Confidential Administrative Support II. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Risk Management, the Confidential Administrative Support II provides confidential administrative support and assists with varied complex duties, tasks and projects involving a full range of policy and administrative issues confronting the University. Performs and coordinates highly sensitive and confidential operational and project management work for the Executive Director. Other tasks include collecting, compiling, researching and analyzing data; responding to requests for information; drafting documents, complex and confidential reports and correspondence; coordinating the management, settlement and/or resolution of claims; facilitating the retention/destruction of documents; and facilitating compliance with CSU and University policies. The work is specialized and requires access to a variety of sources of sensitive and confidential information, including but not limited to human resources and academic personnel records; labor issues; investigations; litigation strategy; student records; personnel matters Other duties as assigned.






Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university; completion of a professional training program specific to the position and directly related work experience; or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Strong analytical, interpersonal, conflict resolution and written/verbal skills. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to create, compose and edit written materials. Investigate and analyze information, reason logically and draw conclusions. Gather and organize documents. Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a timely manner. Interpret, communicate and apply policies and procedures. Detail oriented and self-directed. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
