Position Information
The incumbent is responsible for a wide variety of duties that support evaluation, operational and fiscal functions of Undergraduate Admissions (UGA). Responsibilities include; 1) data entry into the Student Information System and application processing; 2) transcript receipt, scanning and profiling process; and 3) assist in providing front counter coverage at the UGA front counter, Campus Tours and Highlander One Stop Shop (HOSS) as needed. Must be able to maintain high level of organization in administration of duties with frequent interruptions. Additionally, must be able to adjust priorities as circumstances dictate.
Please note: Applicants will be asked to complete a skills assessment as part of the selection process. The hourly rate is based on qualifications of hired applicant.

The Budgeted salary range: $20.06 through $21.40 hourly.


Minimum Requirements
Demonstrated administrative support experience, including strong organizational skills and ability to exercise independent judgment.

Experience in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner under the pressure of deadlines, interruptions, and competing priorities and requirements.

Demonstrated ability to access and retrieve data using PC-based tools; and to summarize the data into a clear, comprehensive format for presentation.

Strong interpersonal skills to represent Undergraduate Admissions over the phone and in-person to students, parents, counselors, and other UC faculty and staff.

Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality; use sound judgment; and display sensitivity of policy and procedures.

Ability to proofread, gather data, analyze and write concise reports; speak clearly and distinctly in order to convey information.

Hired applicant must successfully pass a background check through the Department of Justice.

Experience working with a large data base for data entry operations.


Preferred Qualifications
Experience in University/higher education setting.

Knowledge of UC and UCR admissions requirements.

Experience using the UCR Student Information System (Banner), eTrans, Parchment, and Slate.
