Responsibilities:
The Academic Operations Manager for the School of Pharmacy performs diversified administrative, student services, reporting, support, and accreditation-related duties to assure the smooth and efficient operation of activities in the school, particularly as they relate to the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program, its students and instructors. These activities may extend into the other programs UG students in BS Pharm Sci and Graduate students for Pharm Sci. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, however works very closely to support the academically-related work of the Director of Undergraduate and Professional Programs, as well as the Chair of the Department of Pharmacy and Health Systems Sciences and Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The position also supports the work of the school's Academic Professional Conduct Board, the Academic Standing Committee, and assists, when needed, the work of the Admissions Committee and post-graduate education teaching / learning seminar. The Academic Operations Manager for the School of Pharmacy establishes and maintains administrative systems in support of the strategic goals and accreditation requirements of the program, to including student-focused initiatives. The position facilitates a wide variety of coordination, management, data analysis, operational and support tasks related to the above activities.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's Degree strongly preferred. Minimum of 2 - 5 years of business, health care or academic advising experience with strong analytical skills. This position requires outstanding critical thinking skills. The incumbent will have demonstrated an ability to organize and integrate data from multiple sources, creating relevant, actionable reports to support predictive analysis. High proficiency in Excel and/or databases required as well as excellent computer skills, and an ability to quickly adapt to new technologies. Position requires a strong working knowledge of Student Banner System and ARGOS, and familiarity with Tegrity, Exam Soft, and Portfolio Software. Individual should possess excellent communication/writing skills, with the ability to independently communicate professionally at all levels of the organization as well as externally. Very strong interpersonal skills along with a proven ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment. Must have excellent planning, time management and judgment skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks assigned from a variety of sources. Must be resourceful and able to work independently on a project. Must be flexible and have evidence of working in a team environment. Proven ability to manage confidential information and keep it secure is required.
