Job Description

The Specialist will provide support to the Apprenticeship Coordinator, in the day-to-day management of the AACC Expanding Community College Apprenticeships grant between CSN, students and industry partners. Specialist duties includes, but is not limited to, the following.


  • Assist the Apprenticeship Coordinator in course scheduling and student enrollment.
  • Tracking the technical application progress of each apprentice, and providing information regarding the process and industry partners.
  • Managing the schedule of apprentices and their assigned industry partner.
  • Tracking the academic progress of each apprentice.
  • Maintain accurate records for all associated with the apprenticeship, including inputting information into the RAPIDS system to ensure grant compliance.
  • Prepare reports on RAPIDS reporting, student progress, quarterly financials and participant eligibility to be submitted to the Apprenticeship Coordinator, AACC, and CSN DWED administration.
  • Support the expansion of apprenticeship programming, and retention of apprentices.


Plan and promote AACC Grant related activities.

Develop public relations and marketing materials with DWED Marketing personnel and coordinate the production and dissemination of materials.

Address community groups, industry partners, staff and apprentices regarding program offerings, as requested by the Apprenticeship Coordinator.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative oversight and professional experience in manufacturing or an industrial training program.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in budgeting or grant oversight, particularly in manufacturing or an industrial training program.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to enforce administrative policies and rules governing students.
  • Ability to perform scheduling and registration of students.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student population and employee groups.
  • Ability to develop, plan and coordinate student events, job fairs or other events related to student recruitment and engagement.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and complete student records per CSN's policies and the AACC Grant.

$35.00 an hour

Contingent upon funding.
