Applications are currently being accepted for Senior Office Manager in the Administrative Services, located at San Diego Continuing Education Cesar Chavez Campus. Hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 to 5:00pm. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

The Senior Office Manager of the Cesar Chavez Campus is responsible for supporting the campus, faculty, students, staff and Dean of the Healthcare Careers and Community Education Programs. In this capacity, frequent community interaction is required particularly related to facilities use. The campus is the newest building of the San Diego Continuing Education campuses and is a growing, vibrant resource for both the local Barrio Logan Community and San Diego at large. The Healthcare Careers Programs train hundreds of qualified entry level healthcare providers each year. Additional programs include: ESL, Business Information Technology, Adult Basic and Secondary Education, Small Business Development, Project Management, Parent Education, Older Adult Programs, and diverse Community Education classes.

Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Interpersonal skills using tact, diplomacy, and courtesy. Oral and written communications skills. Principles and practices of administration, supervision, and training. Procedures and practices used in budget analysis, preparation, and maintenance. Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Compile data for statistical and narrative reports and develop summary conclusions and recommendations. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Meet schedules and time lines. Operate a computer and business related software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and web applications. Train, supervise, evaluate, and provide work direction and guidance to others. Training and Experience: Any combination of training and experience equivalent to: graduation from high school and five years of increasingly responsible office management experience, including at least two years in an educational setting with a minimum of one year of supervisory experience.


Pay Information:
Range 8 ($4,414.38 $7,369.98) per month based on the current Supervisory and Professional Employees Association Salary Schedule A

Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. The District offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid: medical, dental, and vision plans; sick and vacation leave; and opportunities for professional development. Initial Salary Placement, Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the SPAA Supervisory & Professional Administrators Association Handbook. This position is FLSA non-exempt and does accrue overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
