The Sarter Lab is seeking a full-time Research Technician Associate/Lab Manager to perform a variety of tasks relating to behavioral neuroscience research. Major tasks include:
- Managing and overseeing all aspects of the laboratory, including IACUC, ULAM, and Biosafety-related issues/inspections/protocols.
- Managing undergraduate training and IACUC protocol adherence.
- Managing purchasing of lab supplies and animals; coordinating purchases with grants manager.
- Working with other Lab Managers to oversee shared spaces and instrumentation.
- Supporting collaborations with outside researchers (e.g., tissue generation and shipments).
- Conducting research for selected research projects.

High school diploma or Associate's degree, experience handling rodents and conducting behavioral neuroscience research, performing stereotaxic surgeries, rodent perfusions and histological analysis.
Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience
One year term-limited position with excellent possibility of extension based on the availability of funding.
Start date is negotiable.
