Applications are currently being accepted for Research Associate in the Department of PRIE, located at Miramar College. Hours are Monday - Friday 40 hours per week. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

Desired Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or minimum 2 years experience in related field. Knowledge of the basics of salient issues and current methodologies in post-secondary educational research including accreditation, program review, program/grant evaluation, student learning outcome assessment, transfer, completion, and equity. Experience of applying intermediate research methods, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods. Working knowledge of basic principles of literature review, research design, data collection analysis, report preparation and presentation of results. Working knowledge of basic principles of conducting qualitative studies (e.g., Nominal Group Technique, focus group, interview, etc.). Expert knowledge of principles of survey design and techniques and experience of conducting survey studies. Advanced skills and experience of using computer operation and software and statistical packages (e.g., Hyperion, SPSS, SAS, R, STATA, Tableau, Winsteps, Facets, Microsoft Office, SurveyMonkey, Surveygizmo, Google Forms) to manage data, perform statistical analyses, visualize and present findings. Experience applying techniques of project planning and time management. Excellent report writing, oral communication, and presentation skills. Expert knowledge of website utilities. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff.

Pay Information:
Range 28 $4,390.07 $7,007.54 per month based on the current AFT Classified Unit Office Technical Salary Schedule.

Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. The District offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid: medical, dental, and vision plans; sick and vacation leave; and opportunities for professional development. Initial Salary Placement, Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the AFT-Guild, Local 1931 Classified Staff Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is FLSA Non-Exempt and may accrue overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
