Baylor University is a proud participant in the McNair Scholars Program, and is seeking to fill two critical positions. We are seeking a McNair Program Director and a McNair Program Coordinator.

The Program Director will develop and oversee all McNair Program initiatives. The McNair Scholars Program is part of the Federally-funded TRIO Programs designed to provide services to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The candidate selected for this critical position will join Baylor's talented and devoted team in the Paul L. Foster Student Success Center, and reports to the Associate Vice Provost for Academic Enrollment Management. The McNair Program Director, in consultation with the Associate Vice Provost for Academic Enrollment Management, is responsible for all program services, activities, program management, strategic program planning, staff supervision, budget management, grant evaluation, Federal reporting requirements, and seminars offered to program participants.

Qualifications

A Master's degree in higher education leadership, student personnel, counseling, or a related area; five years' experience in student affairs programs such as the Federal TRIO Programs; two years' experience in tutoring, teaching, advising, or counseling at the higher education level; and experience working with diverse populations is required. The McNairProgram Coordinator will assist the McNair Program Director with program initiatives for qualifying undergraduates. The McNair Scholars Program is part of the Federally-funded TRIO Programs designed to provide services to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The candidate selected for this critical position will join Baylor's talented and devoted team in the Paul L. Foster Student Success Center, and reports to the McNair Program Director. Additionally, this position will assist with organizing events and programs for McNair participants, assist the Director with recruiting and advising students, manage and oversee the program website and other electronic communications, and perform other essentials tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree, and one year experience in student services/support programs or related work are required. Three years' experience within a TRIO program, or five years' experience in higher education is preferred.
