Position Summary

The Digital Campus Experience Manager is responsible for product planning and execution of Fordham University's new digital experience for student success throughout its life cycle, including launch. Reporting to the Special Advisor to the Provost on Strategy and working collaboratively across the University, the manager gathers and prioritizes user requirements and defines the product vision to drive the best user experience for students, faculty, and staff and deliver on relevant outcomes including student engagement, retention, and success.



Essential Functions

  • Leads a core project team of faculty, students, and staff to shape feature development of applications and identify appropriate and desirable product roadmaps that are personalized to students' academic programs and campus.

  • Performs needs assessments, builds scope, and analyzes usage to determine priorities

  • Continually evaluates the competitive landscape, existing student, staff, and faculty journeys, and user goals to understand needs and inform product roadmaps

  • Collaborates with other areas of the University including Student Affairs and Enrollment Services to understand needs

  • Partners with IT to implement digital products

  • Coordinates and runs beta testing of the early-stage product and add-on features with user panels (one of students, and at least one for student support services) and gathers feedback

  • Works with internal teams with access to user insights and user data to drive cross-functional

  • recommendations and optimize for largest student-centric impact

  • Conducts qualitative and quantitative research to inform and evaluate current and new features, products, and experiences.

  • Determines and tracks success metrics

  • Defines and recommends strategies for UX-driven product improvements informed by data

  • Coordinates communication between all relevant parties regarding the product strategy

  • Addresses any additional digital student success project requirements




Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree a plus

  • Five or more years in planning and developing strategy for digital products, preferably within higher education

  • Three or more years experience managing the lifecycle of a digital product

  • Proven ability to take defined goals and translate them into crisp well-estimated plans that are appropriately resourced

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and proven success working collaboratively across units

  • Knowledge of human-centered design principles and user experience practices a distinct plus

  • Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.




Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree a plus




Minimum Starting Salary: $70,000



Maximum Starting Salary: $90,000
